Teaching Opportunities for Partners in Science (TOPS)
TOPS is a unique volunteer program that utilizes the expertise of individuals with a background and/or passion in science and other STEM- related fields. The volunteer is matched with a school where together with a lead teacher they plan and co-present hands-on STEM lessons approximately eight hours per month. All TOPS schools have access to GEMS kits and Digitarium with prior reservations. TOPS partners will be trained to build awareness of the Next Generation Science Standards.
We are always in need of new volunteers and new schools. If you or someone you know is interested in the program please contact Lissa Gilmore at lgilmore@sjcoe.net or 209-468-4880.
