STEM Programs at San Joaquin County Office of Education provides professional learning for teachers and programs and event for students in the areas of science while integrating, technology, engineering, and math and environmental literacy. STEM Programs facilitates student initiatives at Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center, The SJCOE FabLab and Sky Mountain Outdoor Education Center. We also host student events such as; SJCOE STEAM Fair, Dinner With a Scientist, and STEM Camps during the school year and in the summer.

Student Events and OpportunitiesWe offer student field trips and summer camps at the SJCOE FabLab and Durham Ferry Outdoor Education Center. Our student events include Dinner with the scientist, STEAM fair, H2O Hackathon, Vex Robotics and more.

FabLabThe Fab Lab is an engineering classroom designed to "WOW." The idea is for kids to learn NGSS engineering design standards, while being amazed at their own ability to use math, science, and technology to invent something new.

Summer CampsSJCOE STEM Camps are available both at the SJCOE FabLab and at Durham Ferry. Students grades 3-12 can learn STEM from augmented reality programming to environmental literacy this summer.

Teacher ResourcesWe serve as a regional resource for teachers. Through our partners in educations, business and industry, we hope to connect teachers with people that help make curriculum relevant and ensure that students are learning skills that can build toward successful articulation from grade to grade, school to school and beyond.
