Students involved in this project will be engaged by a real-life experience of watching the salmon eggs hatch, the alevin grow and the free swimmers released into the Mokelumne River. They will learn about the life cycle of the salmon, their anadromous migration from fresh water to the salt water of the ocean and then back to fresh water to spawn.
