MEANDER FIeld TRIP & Virtual Journaling

MEANDER Field Trips provide an outdoor education experience for students in grades 4-7.  Participants hike along trails in the natural riparian (riverside) ecosystem, and engage in activities connected to NGSS and California's Environmental Principles and Concepts. Students will use their senses and minds to become scientists in their local environment.
Field Trip cost: $350 for a class of no more than 32 students. We can accommodate up to four classes of students at a time.

Virtual Journaling (Meander add-on) program is an optional 45 minute add-on live virtual program to schools that participate in the Meander field trip. The Virtual Journaling program will be held in the same week as the field trip. We will begin building observation skills, and cover the basics of nature journaling.

Pre-recorded Lessons: Virtual Journaling also includes a set of pre-recorded lessons. These lessons will help guide the educator through a lesson flow that will encourage students to observe, explore, collect and analyze data throughout the year at their school campus. These systems-based lessons can be repeated throughout the year to notice patterns, build a better understanding of a place through time, and evaluate cause and effect mechanisms.

Price: $150 per class of 32. (Virtual Journaling + Prerecorded lesson)

Pre-recorded Lessons: VOE also includes a set of pre-recorded lessons.
All lessons are aligned with NGSS DCI’s, CCC’s and SEP’s.
